This recipe is great for loads of reasons.
It tastes almost identical to the 777 calorie Eddie Rockets Jalapeño Popper Burger,
it's so quick and simple to make and it's delicious!!
I used turkey instead of beef and because store bought sour cream is full of fat and sugar, I made my own. When you can, try to make your own sauces and dip.
Here's what you'll need:
This recipe serves 2
For the Burger in a Bowl
Half head of iceberg lettuce
1/4 jar jalapeños
2 large tomatoes
Frank's hot sauce
2 turkey burgers
For the Sour Cream:
1/2 tub cottage cheese
Juice of half a lemon
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar/white vinegar
2 tbsp water
For the Sweet Potato Fries:
4 medium sweet potatoes
Taco seasoning (or seasoning you prefer)
Preheat oven to 180º fan
Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into batons
Steam sweet potatoes in the microwave for 9 mins (900watts)
Bake in the oven for 20 mins
Grill turkey burgers 10-12 mins
Combine cottage cheese, lemon juice, vinegar and water in place in blender
Blend until it reaches a liquidy consistentcy
Tear lettuce, slice tomatoes and add to bowl with jalapeños
Splash Franks Hot Sauce over ingredients
Chop turkey burgers and add to bowl
Add more Franks Hot Sauce
Add sour cream
Serve and enjoy.
